Glenavon are pleased to announce that young midfielder, Jamie Doran, has agreed a two-year deal with the club.

The 17-year-old made three appearances for the Lurgan Blues last season, making his debut when he came off the bench against Warrenpoint at the end of last season.

Glenavon boss Gary Hamilton said, “Jamie is someone I rate really highly and I’m delighted he has agreed to extend his stay with us.

“He is a player with great potential and I look forward to seeing his career develop at Mourneview Park.”

Meanwhile, the club can confirm that Colin Coates has left the club.

The former Crusaders defender joined the club in January 2020, making 24 appearances for the club (including one as sub) and scoring four goals.

Earlier this summer he was placed on the transfer list due to the restructuring of the playing staff post COVID-19.

Gary added, “We’d like to wish Coatesy all the best for the future.”
