The U20s fielded their youngest squad of the season today as they hosted Larne, and they came away with a well deserved 5-1 victory.

An open first 15 minutes saw Larne take the lead with a well worked goal on the counter attack, however their lead did not last long as Shane Adamson scored directly from a corner just minutes later.

Despite an excellent performance from the home side, it looked like both teams would go in all square at the break until the Larne goalkeeper put through his own net following excellent pressing all over the park by Glenavon.

In the second half Glenavon continued to build on their first half performance but squandered several clear chances before Dylan Sinnerton bagged his second goal in two games following excellent work by captain CJ sullivan down the right hand side.

Substitute Aaron Prendergast showed his composure to slot home the fourth shortly after, and Luca McGreevey continued his habit of scoring late goals by slamming home the fifth goal to seal the points.

The also game ended with 16-year–old Daniel Dillon making his competitive debut for the U20s for the last quarter of an hour, alongside fellow U18s team mate Daniel Brown.

Team: T Sustek (GK), J Harvey, H Lynch, C Purdy, J Quinn, C Sullivan (C), J Black, B Ingram, D Sinnerton, L McGreevey. Subs: A Prendergast, D Brown, D Dillon, M King.
