Joe Elwood, who won Irish League and Irish Cup medals with the Glenavon treble-winning side in the 1956/57 season, was at Mourneview Park on Tuesday to see the current Lurgan Blues beating Cliftonville 5-0.

Joe, who lives in London, was an outside left in the successful Glenavon team featuring other legends like Jimmy Jones, Jackie Denver and Wilbur Cush. Joe, who moved to Leyton Orient after leaving Glenavon, scored 10 goals in that successful season which also saw Glenavon lift the Gold Cup.
