Glenavon welcome the recently crowned League Cup champions Cliftonville to Mourneview Park tomorrow.

The North Belfast side make the trip to Lurgan, where Glenavon hope to be a thorn in the side of the title contenders, as the hosts try to cement their 7th place spot.

“They’re a top side and Paddy is somebody I have a lot of respect for and a lot of time for. I get on really well with him,” Hamilton told Glenavon Media.

“They’ve won the League Cup, they’re in the semi-finals of the Irish Cup and they’re pushing it really close at the top of the league as well.

“It’s not going to be easy, we know that, but we have to remember that the last couple of times we have played them that we have given them a right game. We’ve probably been unlucky in both of those games not to get a result.

“If we believe in ourselves and play the way that we have been playing over the last six or seven weeks and take confidence from the results then we can give ourselves a chance of getting a result.

“But, we know that only our A game is going to give us an opportunity of that and hopefully we can produce that.”

The Lurgan Blues hope to get a result from tomorrow afternoon’s game, going in off the back of a 2-0 win against Carrick last Saturday.

Supporters attending the game will also be able to avail of a free ticket offer – further details here.
