Kyle Beggs will be returning to his former club Ballyclare Comrades on loan until the end of the season.

Kyle made the move from Dixon Park to Mourneview in 2019 and went back on loan the following year, however due to the pandemic, Championship football was suspended, leaving Kyle without football for a year.

Manager Gary Hamilton has hailed the move, feeling it will be better for both Kyle and the club long term:

“It’s a similar situation to Ross where Beggsy was meant to go out on loan last year to Ballyclare and COVID hit, and he didn’t get the game time we felt he needed.

“He came in to Glenavon a few years ago and had a big break with COVID. He got a few games in the first year, but we knew he needed to go on loan and play regular football to come back and play regular football again, same was the case for Ross.

“It’s a good move for Beggsy and for us in the longer term. It’ll be more beneficial than playing games for the U20’s playing week in, week out in the Championship and it will make both him and Ross better players.

“Hopefully he will be successful and come back stronger and more confident at the end of the season, ready for pre-season.”
