Glenavon get back to familiar surroundings tomorrow night as they return home to face 9th place Dungannon Swifts.

The Lurgan side faced tough competition in the form of champions Linfield, suffering a 2 nil defeat at Windsor on Saturday. Although the score line didn’t reflect it, Glenavon put in a decent performance against the hosts, with keeper Taylor pulling off some impressive saves.

Speaking to the club media team, Gary acknowledges the challenge ahead of him and the team on Tuesday night.

“They’re off the back of two great results. They’ve beaten Larne last week and then Portadown today.

“They’ve brought in some new players, so it’ll be a difficult game. It’s always a difficult game.

“Every year since I’ve been at the club, they’ve always been a difficult side to us, so it’s going to be no different to us on Tuesday night.

Dungannon sit just 4 points behind the Lurgan Blues and come into the game still relishing over their 3-1 victory against Portadown on Saturday.

Hopefully the boys can replicate the performance they put in against Linfield and seal a win.
