Coleraine goal keeper Michael Doherty is out with a combination of groin and hip injuries so Reserves keeper Andy Findlay comes in for his first league start of the season. Ruairi Harkin’s 7th minute shot was superbly tipped over by the flying Jonny Tuffey as the hosts made a bright start but this soon faded.

Sammy Morrow’s 49th minute shot was well saved by Tuffey, the keeper getting both hands to his drive and making sure the ball was pushed well wide to a safe area.
Rhys Marshall put the Lurgan Blues in front with the opening goal two minutes later heading in at the near post from a Neill corner with the referee and his assistant judging that the ball had crossed the line before it was cleared by the man on the post.
Rodney Brown went close to an equaliser when his 57th minute low shot across the goal went inches ide of the far post.
Andy Hall’s free kick in the 75th minute was headed into his own net by Coleraine’s Sammy Morrow to double Glenavon’s lead.
