Glenavon will be wondering how they are going in two nil down at half time in a game in which they have been the better side.

The  Bannsiders went ahead in the 9th minute when Caolan Marron headed Ben Doherty’s corner into his own net.

Andrew Mitchell blasted over from 6 yards, though he was adamant the ball had been deflected, and Aaron Harmon’s cross was deflected onto the top of the bar by Aaron Traynor with Mitchell fluffing the follow up when Kyle Beggs headed the rebound back into the danger area though his blushes were spared by an offside flag.

Daniel Larmour was controversially sent off in the 39th for a challenge with McLaughlin before the striker made it 2-0 in the 44th after Eoin Bradley was initially denied by a fine save by James Taylor.

McLaughlin made it 3-0 in the 62nd minute and Doherty completed the scoring from the penalty spot after Eoin Wearen brought down Nedas Maciulaitis.
