Stand with Glenavon FC #Notinourname
Glenavon FC is today launching our campaign to end violence against women and girls. The initiative is in memory of Natalie McNally who was brutally murdered in December 2022. Natalie’s family are members of the Glenavon FC community, and we stand with them today. We also remember today the 29 other women who have been murdered in NI since 2020.
This campaign supports the NIFL initiative “#Enough is Enough – #Not in Our Game” to end violence against women and girls. Glenavon players, both male and female have a particular message for our supporters today: “Violence against women and girls – not in our name. It reflects our players’ pledge to not staying silent, to standing up against actions that abuse or harm women and girls.
Manager Michael O’Connor says “Glenavon FC is standing together to say, “Enough is Enough.” We are asking our supporters and visitors to stand with us to end all forms of violence, abuse or harm against women and girls. Together, we can make a real difference, ensuring Mourneview Park is a space where respect and dignity are championed – that makes all of us winners”.
Before the home game today, we are showing our campaign launch video. Please show your respect and “Stand with Glenavon #NotInOurName” campaign.
