GLENAVON FC WOMEN’S FUTSAL TEAM TOP TABLE

After the 10 regular season games the Glenavon FC Women’s Futsal team are top of the table in the Northern Ireland Futsal Federation Championship League.

During the season the team scored an impressive 73 goals, with only 18 goals conceded.

A huge thank you goes out to the players that took part in the 10 games: Megan McCabe (GK), Alex Winnington, , Sam Kelly, Jess Rea, Beth Chambers, Megan Weatherall (C), Rebecca Dickson, Sophie Megaw, Amy McAlister and Kirstie Traenor.

You may have thought, this would see the Glenavon FC Women’s Futsal Team being crowned 2025/26 Champions. In a Hitchcockesque plot twist, the NI Futsal Federation decided, the top four teams in the league will go into a playoff to see who will become this season’s winners.

This Sunday (8^th February) Glenavon FC will play Rosario, the 4^th placed team, in their semi-final playoff. The match will take place at the University of Ulster Sports Centre, Nelson Place, Belfast. Kick off at 10:10am.

The playoff final will be between the winners of Glenavon match and the winners of the second semi-final between Ballymena Utd and Bangor. This will take place on Sunday 15^th February at Shankill Leisure Centre, kick off, 10am.
