N.I. UNDER-21S IN ACTION AT MOURNEVIEW PARK
On Monday 16th October 2023 Northern Ireland U-21s face Serbia U-21s at Mourneview Park in a Group F European Championship qualifier. The match kicks off at 7-30 pm.
Last week Tommy Wright’s team achieved a morale-boosting 1-0 victory away to Azerbaijan despite playing for much of the game with ten men. Striker Ciaran McGuckin scored the winner in the 19th minute. However, eight minutes before half-time defender Aaron Donnelly was sent-off for a “last man” challenge. The home side missed the resultant penalty-kick.
The Northern Ireland Under-21s lost their opening two fixtures, including a disappointing 1-0 reverse against Luxembourg at Mourneview in September.
Admission to the Monday evening clash with Serbia is free. Why not go along and support the boys in green?
