Ballymena United FC U20s 0-2 Glenavon FC U20s

Glenavon U20s made the trip to Ballymena on Monday evening, coming away with all three points after a hard-fought win.

The young Lurgan Blues wasted a number of early chances to take the lead as both teams battled against the elements in the first half.

The second half was much the same with both sides trying to take control of the game. The Glenavon substitutes proved pivotal as they added new energy to the team.

The deadlock was broken on the 76th minute when Liam Corr finished well from a quick counter attack.

The game was put to bed five minutes later when some great work from Jack Harvey on the right side allowed him to deliver a cross to the front post, which caught the Ballymena goalkeeper off guard as he pushed it into the goal to make it 2-0 to Glenavon.

Another good performance from Glenavon U20s as they are now unbeaten in five games.
