Glenavon look to get their first win over Carrick tomorrow afternoon as they travel down to Mourneview Park for the second time this season.

Glenavon hope to get the better of the East Antrim side to edge ever closer to cementing that 7th place spot in the league. With 1 point difference between the Lurgan side and Ballymena Utd, it’s all systems go as the spot for a potential European playoff place is to play for.

Looking ahead to tomorrow after the Larne game, Gary highlights the need to go into the game the same way as in previous matches.

“Another big game. They got a good result tonight after going 2-0 down, and having a player sent off, they’ve brought it back to 2-2.

“We know it’s tough against them. We’ve had no easy games against them this year and it’s not going to change.

“They came down to our place and turned us over 0-4, so we know it’s going to be difficult. We know it’s going to be tough, but we have to go with the same attitude, the same desire that we’ve been showing.

“Even if you take the Glentoran game into consideration, over the last month or 6 weeks we’ve been good. We need to keep that up and bring that into the game on Saturday.”

In previous meetings, Carrick overcame the Lurgan Blues at home in a 0-4 loss at home earlier in the Season. Glenavon then travelled to Carrick where a dramatic stoppage time double from Snoddy and Fitzpatrick left the points being shared between the two.
