Congratulations to our U18s who got the better of Carrick Rangers U18s in extra time of the Harry Cavan Cup QF.

A young U18 side hosted Carrick Rangers in the Harry Cavan Cup quarter-final last night in really challenging conditions. Playing against the wind in the first half the boys took a 1-0 lead into half time through Conor Sullivan. A great start by Carrick saw them score 2 early second half goals. With condictions worsening Glenavon were awarded a penalty which was saved by the Carrick keeper. With 15 minutes left Glenavon. Equalised through Luca McGreevy to send the game into extra time. Glenavon dominated extra time and a further McGreevy goal and an own goal saw them secure a 4-2 victory and move into the semi-final.
