Glenavon are expected to make changes tonight as our BetMcLean League Cup campaign gets underway against Portstewart at Mourneview Park (7.45pm).
Gary Hamilton has no new injury concerns, although Andrew Waterworth, who missed Saturday’s league defeat to Carrick Rangers, remains unavailable.
However, the Lurgan Blues boss said he would be changing his line-up in the wake of Saturday’s performance.
“We need a big improvement from Saturday,” Gary said.
“Other players will get an opportunity tonight due to the disappointing performances on Saturday and also to give some of our players a rest with so many important games coming up over the next few weeks. That’s to make sure that we don’t pick up any injuries.”
The two teams last met in Portstewart in pre-season, with the Lurgan Blues winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Waterworth and Kyle Beggs.
Tickets for tonight’s game are on sale now and are available via this link. You will also be able to purchase a ticket at the ground, but if it is possible, supporters are asked to purchase their tickets ahead of arriving at Mourneview Park in order to speed up the entry process.
