Glenavon chairman, Adrian Teer, has said that the club has no desire to appeal the score of Saturday’s game against Carrick Rangers.

Unfortunately, the game was abandoned with 71 minutes on the clock following an injury to Carrick defender Lee McNulty.

Lee, who spent the latter half of last season at Glenavon, has a suffered a dislocated ankle.

At the time of the abandonment Glenavon were trailing 4-0.

“I spoke to my opposite number at Carrick Rangers, Peter Clarke, after the abandonment of the game,” Adrian said.

“I made it clear to him that there was no prospect of Glenavon appealing to have the game replayed or have the outstanding 19 minutes of the match played.”

He continued, “Once again, on behalf of all of us at Glenavon Football Club, I’d like to express our best wishes to Lee and wish him a speedy recovery.”
