Glenavon are excited to confirm that Andy Waterworth, Mark Stafford and Mark Haughey are joining the club.

The trio are joining the club hot off the back of their league and cup double success with Linfield this season.

Waterworth, who was previously with Glentoran and Hamilton Academical, has notched up almost 350 appearances for the Blues, scoring 190 goals, including one yesterday in their win over Cliftonville.

Mark Haughey needs no introduction to Glenavon supporters, having played for the Lurgan Blues before making his move to Windsor Park in 2013.

He will be joined in the defensive ranks by Mark Stafford. The former Ballinamallard United captain led the club to promotion in 2011/12, joining Linfield in 2015.

A delighted Gary Hamilton said it was “massive news for the football club”.
He added, “For a club of our stature to bring in three players who gave achieved so much over the last five years is incredible.

“I hope that these players can take us to the next level. I don’t think we are that far away from being a top six side and I think bringing in three born leaders and born winners will help everyone at the football club.”
