Four more names have been added to Glenavon’s growing list of unavailable players ahead of tonight’s game with Glentoran (7.45pm kick-off, live on 247.tv/niprem, coverage begins at 7.20pm).

Andy Hall and Greg Moorhouse, both of whom went off injured at half time during Saturday’s defeat to Cliftonville, and Josh Doyle, who is undergoing an operation on his mouth, are all missing tonight, as is the suspended Matthew Snoddy.

They join the previously injured Colin Coates, Lee McNulty and Calum Birney.

Andrew Doyle will undertake a fitness test ahead of tonight’s game, while Michael O’Connor also comes back into the squad after Gary Hamilton decided not to risk him on the Solitude 4G.

“We’re down to our last 18 players,” conceded Gary.

“It’s going to be a difficult game. Glentoran are one of the in-form teams and are in the middle of a really good run. Nobody was talking about them being title challengers a while ago and now, all of a sudden, it looks like it’s going to be Coleraine, Linfield and Glentoran challenging for the title based on recent results.

“They’re coming with confidence, they’ve only had one defeat in their last eight matches and on that night it was really difficult conditions – it wasn’t as if they were outplayed.

“The amount of players we have out injured doesn’t help us but we went to Cliftonville with a good few out as well and it was a game of two halves. Certainly I think we deserved a point and that was with a makeshift team. The boys dug in the second half, put in a decent performance and undeservedly came away with nothing. Hopefully we can show the same attitude that we did in the second half on Saturday tonight.”

Tonight’s game is once again behind closed doors but supporters can still see the game on 247.tv/niprem for just £5 (free for season ticket holders).
