As a club we were shocked and deeply saddened to learn last night of the sudden passing of Carrick player Jerry Thompson. In the light of such tragic events the result of the game itself seems of little importance.

We would wish to take this opportunity to pass on our sincere condolences to his family, friends, teammates and everyone associated with Carrick Rangers Football Club at this very difficult time.
