Glenavon centre half Andrew Doyle scored a goal against Glebe North in Saturday’s penultimate pre-season game that any tricky winger would have been proud of. Winning the ball deep in his own half, he went on a mazy run, sidestepping five or six attempted tackles before drilling the ball under the keeper from a tight angle in the 18 yard box.
Supporter Ian McCollum captured Doyler’s cool finish and we’ve put together the photos in this sequence
The final score was 7-1 to Glenavon, Andy Hall, Robbie Garrett, Stephen Murray, Jordan Jenkins, Doyle, Aaron Harmon and Conor McCloskey with the goals for the hosts. The visitors’ goal was a pretty spectacular effort as well, the number 6 spotting Jonny Tuffey off his line and beating him from the half-way line!
