Stephen Murray doubled the lead in the 21st minute when he showed a great touch to control a ball down the line from Andy Hall before watching his cross deceive Martin Gallagher in the home goals.

There may have been a touch of fortune to that goal but there was no doubt about the striker’s second in the 38th minute, firing a sweet left foot shot into the top corner from just inside the box.

Darren Henderson pulled a goal back in the 41st minute and the hosts piled on the pressure at the start of the second half but Murray crushed any hopes and completed his hatrick with an audacious back heel nine minutes from time.
