Marc Griffin has today completed a move to Warrenpoint Town.

Gary Hamilton explained that due to a change of jobs and the fact that he doesn’t drive, Marc felt he needed to make the move. “It’s another disappointment but it’s one of those things that you can’t do anything about,” Gary Hamilton explained. “It’s important that players train and we weren’t going to be able to get him to training and it’s just unfortunate. We agreed a deal with Warrenpoint and we want to wish Marc all the best in the future and I want to thank him a lot because he scored a lot of goals for us coming off the bench and when he started as well.

“He was probably unfortunate with the form of Mitch and with him and Stephen Murray hitting it off when he joined in January, that he didn’t get more games because he gave everything certainly every time he played and he was a joy to work with. From day one Griff was a complete professional, he worked his socks off in training, he never took the hump when he didn’t play, he encouraged the boys when he was on the bench and he always did his job when he came on as sub. He was a proper professional and brilliant around the club. He was brilliant in the changing room, one of the jokers, and all the boys really respected him.”
