Club Statement

Tickets for our forthcoming Danske Bank home game versus Linfield on Friday 24 November (kick-off  8pm) will hopefully be available for Vice Presidents and season ticket holders on Friday of this week and thereafter go on general sale. A further announcement confirming dates and times will be made within the next few days

Supporters are asked to note that Glenavon’s current Safety Certificate for Mourneview Park, issued by the ABC council, provides for a maximum of 1,192 people (including Directors Box) to be seated in the Geddis Stand on a match day. Under the terms of the Certificate a game does not require to be all-ticket if the anticipated number in the Geddis Stand is expected to be less than 75% of the 1,193 i.e. under 895. If the anticipated number is likely to be greater than 895, up to 1,193 can be accommodated but the game must be classified as all-ticket.

Likewise the Safety Certificate provides for a maximum of 250 to be  seated in the Crescent Stand, of which up to 187 (75%) can be accommodated for a non-ticketed game and up to 250 for an all-ticket game.

In respect of the Glenfield Road stand the Safety Certificate provides for a maximum of 1,662 to be seated for a ticketed game and 1,246 (75%) for a non-ticketed game. Linfield have advised their support will be in the region of 800-1,000 which is consistent with that of previous seasons. The Council has therefore deemed it not necessary to have that stand all-ticket for this game.

Under the terms of the Safety Certificate standing in any of the three stands is strictly prohibited.

Discussions are ongoing between the Club and the Council in relation to other fixtures within the 2017/18 season including the Boxing Day game. Again further information will be provided on the website in due course.
