Glenavon defender Aaron Canning has joined Ballinamallard United on loan until January. “Aaron hasn’t been able to take part in any of pre-season because he was working in England and now he’s back home his job involves him working in the evenings while it’s light so that ruled him out of being able to train with us until the end of September. It was better that he went out on loan and got matches and at the moment they need a centre half so he should be able to go straight into their team and get game time which we couldn’t have guaranteed him straight away,” Gary Hamilton explained when he spoke to us this afternoon.

“We’ll assess the situation in January and hopefully we’ll be in a good position, ready to kick on and he can come in and be a part of that,” the Glenavon manager concluded.
