The start of the Danske Bank Premiership this Saturday also marks the opening of the new family section in the Geddis Stand at MVP. Based in Section F of the Stand i.e. at the Hospital End of the ground, the section, kindly sponsored by Fosters Chocolates from Portadown, aims to provide a safe, family friendly environment for young families to enjoy the game. Rumour has it that those sitting in the family section may also receive treats at half time!

The Board of Directors recognise there may be a small number of our supporters who regularly sit in particular seats in Section F who may no longer be able to do so. We are confident, however, they can still be accommodated in other seats in the same section and will also be supportive of the initiative and be keen, as the Directors are, to see the number of young fans attending our games continue to increase.

Special guests in the section this Saturday will be members of the County Armagh junior team who recently won the Super CupNI Globe final against County Down. The local boys triumphed 9-7 on penalties after the game had finished 1-1. Academy goalkeeper, Adam McAlpine, making the crucial save in the shoot out.
