danske-logoGlentoran come to Mourneview Park on Monday night for a re-scheduled Dankse Bank Premiership game. The original game was called off on Saturday January 30th due to heavy snow at Mourneview and in between Glenavon beat the Glens 4-1 in the Irish Cup at The Oval. No doubt Alan Kernaghan’s side will be out for revenge tomorrow night and his players will be rested having had no game on Friday night.

“It’s a massive game again and they’re coming thick and fast at the minute,” Gary Hamilton responded when asked about Monday’s game. “If we keep playing the way we’ve been playing we should be okay but if we don’t we know that Glentoran is more than capable of turning us over. They did it earlier on this season and they drew with us as well so we’ll have to be on top form to get the result. Obviously they’ll be hurting after the Irish Cup defeat last week and they’ll be coming for revenge. We have to match their fight and match them coming (quickly) out of the blocks because they will and hopefully our quality will come through.”

Glenavon will be without leading goal scorer Eoin Bradley after he was sent off on Friday night at Seaview but Gary Hamilton will welcome back defenders Rhys Marshall and Simon Kelly after they served one-game suspensions against the league Champions.

David Elebert made a timely return from injury to play the full 90 minutes at Seaview and he’s hoping that he can put his injury worries behind him for the rest of the season, as he told Gary Ellis of the Lurgan Mail.
