Triangle Club Treasurer Ralph Hewitt is trying to find a photo of the Glenavon team from 1908. “I’ve been trying to source a photo of the Glenavon team from 1908 and was wondering if you could mention something on the website,” Ralph explained.

“I have a couple of Intermediate League and Junior Cup winners medals belonging to my wife’s grandfather (Archie McKelvey who was club captain), and would like them mounted along with a photo and have searched libraries and old newspapers but to no avail.

“This was a very important time in Glenavon’s history as they were continually turned down to join the Irish League, but were the stand out junior side of that era. They were eventually accepted in 1911, the first club outside Belfast to be allowed in.”

If anyone can help with Ralph’s search┬áplease email the webmaster or PM our Facebook page and we’ll pass on the details to Ralph. Club email addresses are on the Contacts page.
