Glenavon travels to Ferney Park for a re-arranged Danske Bank fixture with Ballinamallard United on Tuesday night (kick-off 7:45pm). The previous attempt to play this fixture at the end of November was called off at late notice when the referee adjudged the pitch to be unplayable due to being frozen underneath.

Gary Hamilton welcomes back Rhys Marshall, James Singleton and Joel Cooper after they missed Saturday’s game with Linfield due to suspension but he will be without Ciaran Martyn who was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in that game.

The Mallards are in good form at the moment, winning three of their last five league games including a vital victory against Carrick Rangers last Friday night that lifted them eight points clear of the relegation play-off spot.

Gary is looking to bounce back from the defeat by Linfield, “If the boys give me that effort, hunger and desire then they have a chance. They were really good today considering the circumstances of the game. I was proud of them, all you can ask of players is for them to give 100% and we got that today.

“Every game’s difficult in this league, no matter who you play. Ballinamallard came here and turned us over 1-0 and anybody can beat anybody in this league. We know you have to have the right mentality and the right attitude going into games. If the players give me the attitude they showed in the last four games then they’ve every chance of winning any game.”

Ballinamallard have Liam McMenamin and Johnny Lafferty suspended and Adam Lecky, who scored the winning penalty in the last game between the sides, has emigrated to Australia.
