Shirt Sponsorship Evening

The Annual Shirt Sponsorship evening took place in the Bedeck Suite last night, the popular fundraising scheme again this season proved a success with all fans, young and old alike.

A huge thank you to all who supported the scheme which raised just shy of £4000 this season. Also thanks go to Kris Lindsay for attending the event and posing with the happy sponsors.

Shirt Sponsors Evening

Presentation of sponsored shirts for the 2016/17 season will take place on Tuesday 16th May at 7.30pm in the Bedeck Sports Bar. Any outstanding sponsorship money must be paid before that date. Once again club captain Kris Lindsay has kindly agreed to present the shirts to the various sponsors. Following the presentation there will be a light supper served in the Boardroom. To assist with catering arrangements it would be appreciated if you could contact John Sinnamon on 07711737512 to confirm if you are able to attend. If you can’t, alternative arrangements will be made to collect the shirt.

There are a few shirts still available for sponsorship including: home and away James Taylor goalkeeping jerseys, Renato’s away shirt and an additional Jonny Tuffey home goalkeeping jersey.

Thank you for your support.

Glenavon Appoint Commercial Director

The Board of Directors is currently undertaking a review of the Club’s administrative  and commercial operations including staffing structures and allocation of duties. As a first outcome of this review Eddie Drury has been appointed as the club’s Commercial Director. Eddie is anxious to involve as many people as possible in not only promoting Glenavon within the local community but also in the key area of fundraising.

Eddie explains further: “There is no doubt that during his tenure at the club Gary Hamilton, helped by the backing of the supporters and Directors, has done a fantastic job, attracting quality players, securing two Irish Cup triumphs plus European qualification three seasons in a row. To help give Gary every chance of building on this success in the future we need everyone in the local community and beyond to help in any way they can.

“There are a range of ways people and businesses can become involved: Mourneview Needs You, Club Lottery, match day sponsorship, signage around the ground, shirt sponsorship etc. There is also the opportunity over the coming months to subscribe to Mega Draw 2 with its range of fantastic prizes. I would therefore appeal to local businesses, supporters and, indeed, anyone with a love for Glenavon to get in touch and see how they can best help. An example would be match, ball or man of the match sponsorship. If you feel this may be too expensive then why not get together with a number of friends and enjoy that famous MVP hospitality? A match sponsor, for example, is currently required for our opening Danske Bank home fixture against Carrick Rangers on 6th August.”

Eddie also plans to establish a dedicated fundraising team. If you are interested in joining this team, or helping the club in other ways, Eddie can be contacted on 07866273306  or speak to him on any match day.

Once the review has been completed any further changes going forward will be announced by the website.
