Gerry Mulgrew

Fitness Coach Gerry Mulgrew has decided to leave the club to complete a Masters Degree he had been working towards before he joined us in 2017. We would want to put on record our thanks to Gerry for all his hard work and dedication during his time with and wish him all the best with his studies. His enthusiasm and professionalism will be sorely missed. Speaking to this website, manager Gary Hamilton said “I want to thank Gerry for his services to date. When he completes his degree it would certainly be my hope that he returns to the club. In the interim I will look to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis; possibly with someone who is looking for a work experience opportunity. There is no doubt Gerry has been very successful in improving the players’ fitness levels and has helped to improve us as a team. Indeed, our fitness statistics, such as distances covered during a game, compare favourably with full-time teams. Although this season’s results have been disappointing our fitness levels remained high. Gerry brought a lot to the club, both on and off the pitch. He is a sound guy, someone you could trust implicitly. When we announced that he was leaving it was clear from their reaction that he will be missed by all the players.”
