Gary Hamilton has sent three of his younger squad members out on loan until the end of the season to Championship teams. Ross Hunter is joining Loughgall, Oisin Barr goes to Ballyclare Comrades and Leighton Jameson is off to Dundela.

“The three kids have played at 20’s level for the last couple of years and done really well. To be honest, they’re probably at the stage where they’re comfortable with it and not really getting tested to the level that I think they need at the minute,” Gary explained. “and, because of our results at the minute, it’s difficult to introduce young lads into that environment so I felt it was better for them to go on loan.

“If you look at the three clubs, they are all doing well in their league and they’re competing. If the lads can go there and break into the team and play until the end of the season then it’ll be a good move for them and it teaches them men’s football where results matter. It’ll be a good grounding for them and they can come back in pre-season and hopefully kick on like Bobby Burns and the other boys that have went on loan before and push for a starting slot.”
