It is with deep regret that we have to report the passing in the past 24 hours of two of our most loyal supporters: Jim Gregson and Isaac Gilkinson. Jim passed away at Craigavon Area Hospital yesterday evening after a short illness. His funeral will be held in Waringstown Presbyterian Church this Friday afternoon at 2pm with interment in the adjoining Burying Ground.

Isaac died suddenly at his home this morning, Wednesday. He was, of course, well known and respected throughout the wider Mid Ulster football community through his association with Queen’s Park Swifts, Lurgan Town and ourselves. He was also latterly Chairman of the Mid Ulster FA and Chairman and Treasurer of the Mid Ulster Football League. His funeral will be held this Friday at 1pm in Queen Street Methodist, Lurgan followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Both Jim and Isaac will be sadly missed at our games, both home and away. Our sincere condolences go out to both family circles at this very sad time and they can be assured they will be held in our thoughts and prayers over the coming days.

A minute’s silence in their memory will be observed before tonight’s League Cup game against Newry City.
