Congratulations and best wishes to Mark Sykes who retains his place in the Northern Ireland U-21 squad for the forthcoming crucial games against Iceland (A) Thursday 11th October and Slovakia (H) Tuesday 16 October in the forthcoming European U-21 Championship qualifiers.

Mark is joined in the squad by former Glenavon players Bobby Burns and Shayne Lavery; while Lurgan born Cameron Dummigan returns to the squad. Mark, who played the whole game in the team’s recent historic victory against Spain, is one of only two locally based players in the squad with Glentoran’s Nathan Kerr the other. Meanwhile Caolan Marron’s recent outstanding performances have also been recognised and Caolan is on stand-by for the squad.
