Result: Glenavon 4-0 Ballymena

//Result: Glenavon 4-0 Ballymena

Two changes for Glenavon from last Saturday’s league victory against Crusaders: Simon Kelly replaces Caolan Marron and Sammy Clingan returns, Marc Griffin dropping to the bench.

8: 1-0 Mitchell races down the left wing after Singleton’s throw glances off Gault’s head. He cuts in on the left of the box and fires a shot that Brennan should have kept out but he spills it over the line at his near post.

24: 2-0 Mitchell with his second of the match and his 10th for the season. This time it’s a  low 25 yard drive into the bottom corner.

33: 3-0 Burns catches Gault in possession 35 yards out and races clear into the area. He directs a low shot across Brennan and, with Mitchell on hand to make sure, it looks like it’s Bobby’s goal.

35: Red Card for Kyle Owens for a poor challenge on Bobby Burns. Ballymena down to ten men and three goals down.

43: 4-0 Hall scores with a wonderful free kick from all of 35 yards after Gault hacked down Mitchell as he, Burns and Daniels were breaking after Singleton had won the ball in a tackle inside the centre circle.
