At their July board meeting the Board of Directors unanimously agreed to co-opt Duncan Campbell onto the Board. Duncan, who is employed in the banking sector, has for a number of years been extremely active in helping promote a range of fundraising events for the club including this year’s Golf Classic and recent concert.

Speaking exclusively to the website Duncan explained that he has followed Glenavon from his primary school days in his native Lisburn thanks to becoming good friends with David Porter, son of the late John Porter, a fondly remembered Glenavon fan from Dollingstown.

He rates Ray McCoy’s 1992 semi final goal amongst his greatest childhood memories. Referring to his appointment to the Board Duncan, who now lives in Aghalee, said “I am honoured to be asked to join the Board and look forward to working with such a dedicated group of people whose passion I share for the continued success and development of the club.”
