The funeral of Paul Millar’s son Philip took place this afternoon in Helens Bay, County Down. Glenavon players, management/coaching and backroom staff and the Board of Directors formed a guard of honour outside the church. The huge attendance at the service included many familiar faces in local football and the media as well as current and former Irish League managers and players/ex-players, Derry City manager Kenny Shields, former Wales international defender Nathan Blake together with past Glenavon players including Paddy McCourt, Kevin Braniff, James McGrath, David Rainey, Gareth McKeown, Adam Foley, Shane McCabe, Declan O’Brien and Tony Grant.

Philip was laid to rest in nearby Crawfordsburn.
