* No pitch inspection required at MVP, Game is ON *

Linfield are the visitors to Mourneview Park tomorrow for a crucial Danske Bank Premiership fixture (kick off 3pm). Both sides will be keen to pick up maximum points, the visitors hoping to keep pace with leaders Crusaders and Glenavon seeking to close the gap on 5th placed Coleraine if the Bannsiders slip up against Portadown tomorrow.

Gary Hamilton will see the depth of his squad put to the test with regulars Rhys Marshall, James Singleton and Joel Cooper all suspended for one game after picking up their 5th cautions. Andy Hall (ankle) and Andrew Doyle (knee) have had operations recently and are expected to be out for 2-3 and 4-6 weeks respectively. “We tried to plan these operations to be done at the best time but unfortunately we couldn’t predict that the three lads would all be suspended,” Gary told us. “Linfield is always a tough game but, though our resources are stretched at the moment, especially in the defensive area we’ll just get on with it.”

David Elebert is away at a family wedding that was agreed with Gary six months ago and Simon Kelly was suffering with flu symptoms earlier this week but it’s fingers-crossed he’ll be okay tomorrow. Declan O’Brien is out with a hip problem that he picked up in the warm-up for last Saturday’s Irish Cup game and he was unable to train this week.

“It’ll be a difficult game tomorrow and with so many players out it’ll prove to be a little bit more difficult but we’ll give it our all and hopefully the boys put in the effort and the commitment that they’ve shown over the last three games and we can come out of the game with something,” Gary concluded.
