CmtT04JWYAE-v0nKR come to Mourneview Park on Thursday evening leading 2-1 on aggregate from the first leg of this Europa League First Preliminary round tie. The game kicks off at 7:45pm and it’s pay at the turnstile, not all-ticket so we hope you’ll all come out in force to cheer Glenavon on :-). Please note the further information posted below.

Simon Kelly’s away goal could prove vital but Glenavon Manager Gary Hamilton admits the task will be a tough one. “We went to Iceland looking to make sure we came home with something to play for and we did that but it will be very difficult. I thought we did well considering it was our first competitive game and we were the better side in the first half. They are a good side and they were the better side in the second half but I was gutted to be coming home behind on aggregate. The boys will give it their all and maybe we will get a decision that goes our way this time.

“I have to admit KR were a better side than we thought considering their form going into the game but we’ve learnt a lot about them from the first game and now we’ve seen them in action we know about their strengths and weaknesses. We’ve another 90 minutes under our belt so that is another plus. They have some excellent players but our boys have shown they are capable of winning ‘big games’ so hopefully we’ll make it another memorable night at Mourneview Park.”

Andy McGrory has returned from holiday and will make the bench but he’s the only additional option available to the Glenavon manager with Declan O’Brien still on vacation and Kevin Braniff not recovered from a groin strain.
