danske-logoLinfield are the visitors for the final league game of the season which comes just seven days before the teams meet again in the Irish Cup Final on May 7th.

With both teams secure in their respective league positions both managers can be a bit more relaxed about the encounter and not have to risk players ahead of the final. Certainly for Gary Hamilton it’s a chance to give some players who are recovering from injuries and knocks a chance to get 90 minutes under their belts and demonstrate their fitness and possibly stake a claim in the 16 man cup final squad.

“The fact we managed to secure third place last week takes all the pressure off. It’s an ideal situation for both clubs,” Hamilton told the Lurgan Mail this week.

“We have players who are recovering from injury so it is vital they get through 90 minutes to see if they can figure in the cup final squad.”

James McGrath will get his first league start of the season in goal while Daniel Kearns, Mark Sykes, Andy McGrory, Declan O’Brien and David Elebert will benefit from the 90 minutes.
