Sadly we have to report the passing this morning of Violet Thompson. Popular with both supporters and players alike Violet followed her beloved Glenavon home and away, through good times and bad times, for many years. Unfortunately ill-health meant that in recent years she was no longer able to attend matches. How she would have enjoyed Saturday’s victory!

Condolences are sent to her family circle at home and abroad. Violet’s funeral service will be held this Monday in the Church of the Nazarene, Lurgan at 12 noon.
