Following Glenavon’s dramatic 3-2 win against Portadown on Saturday the Official Glenavon Player of the Season Award, namely the Alan Steele Memorial Trophy for Glenavon Player of the Season, was presented to Kevin Braniff by Alan’s brother William Steele and his friends Craig Collen and Andy White.IMG_2923_edited-1

The Glenavon Stewards also presented their awards. Again Kevin Braniff won the Player of the Season and James Singleton won the Young Player of the Season. Eoin Bradley won the Colin Thompson Memorial Trophy for Goal of the Season for the first of his two goals against Portadown in the 3-3 Boxing Day draw, a result that set Glenavon on the way to a run that saw them lose only one league game since then.

The Stewards who provide their services on a totally voluntary basis, also presented the parent club and the players’ fund with cheques.
